Vintage Fall

Well I think winter is here, I guess the NW is skipping fall. Which happens to be my favorite time of year here. The leaves are turning, but it's kind of hard to enjoy them when it's pouring down rain and windy. So I will have to just enjoy them from my windows. I am hoping that fall tries to make a comeback with crisp days with bright blue skies...for now, bundling up and wearing socks are on the morning agenda.  I need to move my summer clothes to the back of the closet and push the winter ones forward. It's just that time of year.

But my friend Beth just made these gorgeous fall bags to brighten anyone's day! I just love this vintage rose oil cloth fabric in the golds and oranges. I have tried it with a few outfits for running around town in and it is a jean staple accessory for me. I am not sure what other styles she is using this fabric in but be sure to contact her ( or visit her ebay store. These are not going to last very long!

Daily Grind: Long overdue post about my daily grind of weight loss and trying to keep it off or putting more on. Maintaining is the word today. When Dottie was here we decided a carb diet would be appropriate - not really but that is how it worked out. I think the reason I didn't gain was because our portions were the right size. My positive report today is that I am doing yoga 4 to 5 days a week for one hour sessions. Going to the gym is another story, which is quite funny since the gym is MUCH closer than the yoga studio that I go to - go figure. But you can say that I am a little addicted to yoga now. I have been telling everyone I meet how great it is and how I look forward to going. I wouldn't say that I am losing pounds, because I am not. But clothes are fitting better and I feel better - that is important. Yoga helped me through one of our toughest 10 days at Big Picture Scrapbooking. During that time I probably would have ate everything in the pantry then drove to the grocery store to get more! One of my 2008 goals is to start going to pilates at least twice a week...
