Detox Day Five

Probably nothing
in the world arouses more
false hopes than the
first four hours of a diet

Well last night I had another weak moment at the movie theatre...popcorn. I shared some with my mom and aunt so thankfully I didn't eat the whole thing by myself! But I woke up this morning determined to stay on track.
  • lemon water
  • herbal tea
  • mango & almond milk smoothie
  • coconut water (found a link for Vita Coco)
  • Tuna
  • Carrots for snack and coconut water
  • Tonight is Miso soup for dinner

It also felt good to get on the bike for the first time. I rode for 30 minutes and watched my saved Real Simple shows. Gotta love the DVR function from Comcast, made the 30 minutes fly by.

I am finding myself counting down the days, hours and minutes for this detox to be over. But I am also thinking about keeping some of the foods in my regular diet. The smoothies are definitely going to be alternated into the the regular program. I also really enjoyed having a fresh salad for lunch - not the bagged lettuce but a 'real' head of butter lettuce (be sure to watch the video!) which is my favorite. It comes in this great container that keeps it longer. And as I said before the almond milk is definitely a keeper along with the rice milk and coconut water.
