FUN Friday Finds

Fun Friday Finds is going to be about books! One of my other passions is reading and over the next couple of months I plan on enjoying it.
Last week I had the amazing opportunity to actually meet Kevin Carroll. While it was a short introduction it will definitely be something to remember!

Kevin is the author of three books: Rules of the Red Rubber Ball, What's Your Red Rubber Ball? and The Red Rubber Ball at Work. I had only discovered the first one and he graciously sent me the others within days! I have finished the Red Rubber Ball at Work and when I get back from traveling I will dive into the workbook - I am very excited about exercises that he goes through in this one. The other two I highly recommend for anyone.

There is a section in the Red Rubber Ball at Work called Elements of Purposeful Play - it is broken up into sub sections: look, read, do. Be sure to check out the sub sections for some great links to some resources. One of the books listed is one of my all time favorites It's Not How Good You Are, Its How Good You Want to Be: The World's Best Selling Book

Another person that I had the pleasure of meeting and taking a workshop from last weekend was Sally Jean Alexander. It was a fantastic beginner class called Soldering for Virgins - perfect level for me and I gained so much knowledge from her. If you want to learn to solder and have the opportunity to take a class from her don't pass it up! She shares a lot of her technique in her book Pretty Little Things: Collage Jewelry, Trinkets and Keepsakes

I will be doing a full post of my experience soon! There was so much to take in it deserves the full attention.

Here are some others worth picking up:
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Random House Reader's Circle)
The Time Traveler's Wife (taking with me to Maui)
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem! (reading right now)
The Alchemist (taking with me to Maui)

What is on your reading list this summer?
