Project Life 2012 | who's on board?

GASP! Could I be blogging about scrapbooking?? Believe it or not I just order some supplies for Project Life Core Kit - just the main kit, some extra journaling cards and page protectors for a AC 12x12 album that I already have. If you don't know what Project Life is check out the details here.

I have been following a few blogs [one in particular here, Ali is always inspiring] and trying to figure out how to keep it low key and make it through 52 weeks. I think it's going to be a balance of photos and journaling. I have been really struggling getting back into some kind of memory keeping and start printing my photos. Hoping this might be the kick in the butt I need.

Are you doing this now? Do you have any tips? Have you kept up? Who's in for 2012?

  1. WOW is this the Paula I started following coming back in to scrapbooking world LOL. I have been wanting to try this (see how disciplined I can be lol)but I have been intimidated. You are going to do 52 week vs 365 days? Do you have any tips or websites for implementing a 52 week project life?

  3. I am on the fence about starting this project! I have always wanted to and seeing Ali's weekly updates certainly has helped sway me a little. We will be extra busy as my husband will be returning from a deployment in January, we have a few trips planned and then we move back to the USA anytime between May-July. I don't think filling the book would be an issue! I guess I am most worried about the commitment of taking a photo daily.

  4. I started this year with PL and LOVE it! It has enabled me to document the little and the big with less effort. I haven't been consistent this year (journaling is the easy part for me...printing pictures not so much.)

I don't take a picture every day either...some days it's something I print that I saw on the computer, in the newspaper, a receipt, kids' artwork, etc...it's so flexible! This year I've concentrated more on getting the stories, trying to print the pictures and not embellishing much beyond what came in the kit.

I'm in for 2012! I'm waiting for the Cobalt & Clementine editions to be out. I think I'm going to do a mix of the two. (I used the Turquoise one for this year.)

    Looking forward to documenting 2012!

  6. @Shanon I agree Shanon - this might a good solution for you since you will be so busy but still want to document those huge events you have going on...at least during your move you wouldn't have to keep so much stuff out to keep up with this.Hope you join us!!!
