I am so excited to share my progress on the socks...this is a heel!!!
Took a quick sewing detour to whip up a plastic grocery bag holder. They were getting out of control in the pantry. I followed this tutorial. I had enough material to make another one and send to MIL!
My PJs were put on hold because I didn't have enough fabric and I was frantically looking for more. Finally found some but it was close! In the meantime, I pulled this UFO out - Patchwork Prism Quilt by Anna Maria Horner, be sure to watch her videos. I kind of strayed away from the values [which I regret now] but I am trying to make it work. I am also struggling with all the purple...not a huge purple fan so I am integrating some more teals and greens. This just shows me that I need to work on some more value projects.
**DO NOT SCROLL DOWN** if you are offended by foul language.
I did finish my cross stitch project and my friend loved it! Using the waste canvas was great but it is tedious when removing it - if you follow me on Instagram you probably saw the mess. I loved doing this project and plan on doing some more gifts, unfortunately for more friends that are going through this. It's all in memory of my good friend Dottie - miss her so much!

Found you over here from WiP Wednesday. Love your socks!! Those are going to be awesome. And the sentiment on the pillow - let me say, AMEN!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Deb!
DeleteThat prism quilt is gorgeous! Every time I see the one by Anna Maria Horner I swoon for it. Your pillow is fantastic--I lost a close friend to cancer in November and couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Renee!
DeleteI love your prism quilt in the works.I am going through a triangle/hexie phase. I can not get enough!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy - thanks for stopping by! I can relate to the phase - :)
DeleteFabulous cancer pillow. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Unfortunately I have had to make a few of them -
DeleteI love the purple quilt! I am a huge purple freak! If you need to sell it... Can I hire you to make one anyways?
ReplyDeleteI might sell this one Amanda - I will let you know
DeleteSome great projects you're working on. The socks are impressive, and I love the hexagon quilt with all the purple. Teals and greens are great picks to break it up a little. I also enjoy the bold statement on the pillow; straight to the point. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you Megan and thanks for stopping by!
